With Windows This Low (27% of the "OS" Market), Steve Ballmer Would Have Thrown Another Chair

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Mar 02, 2024

Yesterday: statCounter: GNU/Linux Exceeded 6% in Asia Last Month (Compared to 4% Just 12 Months Earlier) | Windows Falls Below 13% Market Share in Africa, Barely Has Any Country With Majority

Operating System Market Share Worldwide Jan 2009 - Feb 2024

LATER today statCounter will start showing preliminary numbers for March 2024, as pages like this currently default to February. But judging by what we are seeing at the moment (for a finished month with an extra day), we'll likely see Windows falling to only a quarter of the "OS" market share, down from about 95% as 'recently' as 15 years ago. Revenue associated with Windows is falling sharply (Microsoft openly admits this), Windows Update is bricking many PCs (there are press reports about that; the codebase is chaotic), "Copilot" is being thrown into everything (to help fake "demand" for what Microsoft wasted water and energy on - at the expense of billions of dollars - pure losses), and we'd be safe to assume continued growth of GNU/Linux, notwithstanding sabotage and E.E.E. (e.g. WSL) efforts from Microsoft.

The media produced many puff pieces about Nadella at 10 (as CEO), but what has he done for Windows? Nothing. He is just defrauding Microsoft shareholders and playing with the stock market to fake "growth".

Windows at 27%; It used to be 95%; Windows at 27%; Screw that; That's why we gave your job to another fraudster
