Purpose (and a bike trip)
It has been a very short week for me it hasn't ended yet, but it really has gone by. And once again I am thinking and thinking and overthinking. I'm not entirely sure what to do and what I want. And I guess it might sound cliche but to understand more about myself and what I want I am planing on going on a adventure (bike camping) maybe I will have something else to think and not stress about life. lol I'm not entirely sure where to go, but I know that I will do this bike camping around Europe this summer.

I Can't Stop Thinking About Outer Wilds
It’s been a few months since I finished the game Outer Wilds and it’s turned out to be possibly the most memorable game I’ve ever played.
It’s one of those games to really take full advantage of the medium. The story Outer Wilds tells could only ever work through a medium as interactive as a video game because it isn’t told, it’s discovered and experienced.

Small proof of concept: text replacement in editor boxes
As much as I appreciate the minimalism of our posts here, sometimes I want just a tiny bit more. Just little replacements, like curly quotes (“”) or whatever.
Thankfully, the midnight is set up such that you can add custom JavaScript to your site theme. It only works for you (while logged in), so there’s no worry about screwing up the experience for anyone else. At least not without *really* trying.

Get ready to pour one out for geminispace.info
I drop by geminispace.info regularly to see what new capsules are out there.
A day or two ago, I saw this at the top of a couple of pages there:
geminispace.info search engine will shut down on 1st June 2024.
[...]
If you operate a Geminispace crawler, thank you — you help people form connections without having to go through one of a tiny handful of aggregator services.

Emacs as a Shell: Part 2 (publ. 2024-05-09)
Just to clarify, I think that shell-command and async-shell-command are convenient functions. And since you can call them as functions in normal elisp code, that gives you a lot of freedom for constructing commands and arguments and such. They just don't take me quite as far as I want to go in making Emacs itself the shell, i.e., the interface to the operating system, since everything gets passed to bash, or whatever other shell, in the end.
