Subject: The Open Source AI Definition is on the road to stable (NEWS)Roy, there is no standard definition for Open Source AI...yet. The Open Source Initiative (OSI) has spent the past 2 years collaborating with stakeholders around the world on identifying the principles of Open Source suitable for AI systems. Now, the OSI is traveling to multiple continents on its global mission to reach a stable version of the Open Source AI Definition. News of the roadshow will be announced next week, but we thought you might be interested in seeing the details in advance.
Please reply to this email in acceptance of the embargo of May 14, 2024, 8AM EDT/12PM UTC if you would like me to send you the press release to review. Stefano Maffulli, Executive Director of the OSI, is also available for interviews should you be interested.
Thank you!
Further down the E-mail contains spyware (https://cathey-dot-yamm-track.appspot.com/ [...]) that's embedded inside the message. It is unethical.
Today's OSI is a lousy, defunct and actively harmful institution that helps Microsoft. It helps Microsoft break the law.
Suffice to say, this "definition for Open Source AI" (and "Deep Dive" BS) is sponsored by Microsoft/GitHub, covering up for and promoting proprietary shackles.
Stefano Maffulli makes a living by attacking us, by advancing Microsoft's agenda inside "Open Source". They've since then added more Microsoft staffers to the OSI and some claim to be speaking for "Open Source" security (in practice undermining it for Microsoft talking points).
We're under attack. But the attackers smile at us and hire PR firms to spy, mislead etc.
