As far as I understand it, the Court ordered Lenovo to pay damages for charging for the copy of Windows that came pre-installed on the machine; that isn't to say that OEMs are now obliged to offer alternative OS installations.
As an associate of ours put it: "A prerequisite for further increases in FOSS OS market share is that the OEM monopoly of Microsoft has to be broken."
