'Linux Hint' Inactive for Nearly a Month (It Used to be Very Active)
EARLIER this year, in March for example, Linux Hint became very active again. That was good news and somewhat of a relief as for a period of time it experimented with Windows "content" under a Linux domain [1, 2].
Something just wasn't right, but then they joined Twitter (after Elon Musk had taken over) and the site started making many computer-generated (CG) banner images, now known as "Hey Hi" for some reason. The RSS feed and the site were at least active again, but it has been nearly a month since they last posted anything. In Twitter (X) it's even more stale:
Yes, that's this Kristi, whose code contributions are very scarce. Daniel Pocock wrote a lot about it [1, 2].
Their Twitter account hasn't been active for a long time and it's not too clear what's going on. The ownership of the site may have changed some time in the past few years and they appear to be experimenting with different approaches, though at least they no longer push Windows.
Time will tell what happens (or happened) there.
Remember what happened to MakeUseOf at the end of last year [1, 2, 3]. █
