Illuminating Microsoft's Dirty Tactics

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Dec 04, 2024

Recent: More Microsoft Corruption and Cover

Microsofters know that non-profit organisations are currently raising money. They try to meddle or interfere, in effect channeling capital into Microsoft front groups.

FSFE: Microsoft a top donor

An associate has explained that "if more people know about Microsoft tactics, the attacks will be less effective" (or completely ineffective, possibly even counterproductive).

And "most people," the associate has added, "not knowing better, take it personally and Microsoft plans on that to effect very harmful changes and suppress constructive people in their activities" (that was said in reference to more recent attacks on the FSF).

"As mentioned a year or so ago, Microsoft is operating at a political level that kind of does an end-run around RMS approach of a grassroots movement. That will be more difficult to respond to staring in January because the US will be effectively without a government after that point in time and even more open to bribery."

As illuminated above, Microsoft also did this with Biden and when the media reported on it there was self-censorship (Bill Gates had bribed that publisher; it gives him control over it).

Quoting further: "That's also why Microsoft attacks universities and colleges through both 'donations' with strings attached and through infiltration by embedding their sales teams in place of IT departments," the associate has remarked. "The latter is made possible by corrupting administrators and directors and creating in-fighting which the Microsofters can prey on by being political support for hire."

"With musk in the White House calling all the shots, any apparent support of FOSS is going to go like in his other investments and be more like strip mining than cultivation."

We generally plan to report on these dirty tricks based on investigative journalism, but seeing there's so little left of it other there we often operate in a sort of vacuum. Society is becoming less transparent and it'll worsen under Trump with his international "coalition" (Orban et al).

People who used to cover GNU/Linux are now eating from Microsoft's palm and it shows. Criticising illegal things that Microsoft does can be classified as "Microsoft bashing" or "hatred".
