Seems Like GNU/Linux Usage Doubled in Japan Last Year
So says statCounter data anyway
We don't write about Japan quite so often, except in relation to conflicts because Russia and China have objectionable ambitions. However, Japan is a leader in the "console market" and it's still leading in many areas with emphasis on electronics.
That a very technical and well-educated country embraces GNU/Linux should matter; they probably don't do this due to cost (unable to afford a Windows licence). Hence the importance of the trend above. Will it exceed 3% by year's end? █
