Ubuntu is Becoming GAFAM-Like

Older:

Earlier today we spoke of ODF, GNU/Linux, and Free software. We also argued that "[w]hile Android is the dominant operating system (in most nations), it does not respect users' freedom. So it is encouraging to see also "proper" GNU/Linux gaining (ChromeOS has many of the same issues as Android)."

The "license violations make ChromeOS and Android effectively proprietary," an associate pointed out, as "this is a direct effect of schools having been required to eschew software freedom and other foundational philosophical principles and ethics of computing," and for further discussion of this see this video (especially the last minute).

Well, this says license violations, but really ought to say intentional license violations. In the case of Apple, it went out of its way to block "apps" that were based on GPL stuff (like VLC) and then gradually worked to remove GPL stuff from its operating systems even if the replacement was technically inferior. Later on Canonical copied that.

When companies like Microsoft, Google and Apple try to push proprietary software and even obstruct freedom-respecting software we say that they hate freedom. Canonical is meanwhile promoting Microsoft GitHub and non-reciprocal licences.

What does that say about Canonical and Ubuntu?

Of course Microsoft Lunduke would rather not speak about these issues and instead turn to politics in relation to Canonical staff:

Registered Sex Offender Speaking at Debian Conference This Week

Like Drew DeVault, Microsoft Lunduke found just one pervert (employed by Canonical) and therefore leaps to the ludicrous idea that "Linux is Pedophiles" and days later he did something similar to the BSDs.
