Trends That Must Alarm Microsoft and Mozilla

The usage of GNU/Linux has grown, judging by trends in all sorts of former Windows strongholds (such as Switzerland). Yesterday we commented on trends in the US, showing that only one in 7 people uses the only supported version of Windows to access government sites. Put another way, 6 out of 7 Americans either use an already-dead version of Windows or some other operating system. That's a significant change and very meaningful data point. "There were 1.66 billion sessions in the last 30 days," says the site right now. That's a very large data set:
This same data tells us that only 1.7% of users are still with Firefox. As it's below 2%, based on US laws and requirements it means that many sites needn't test for Firefox compatibility anymore:
