Telling Our Story as Victims of Online Abuse

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Nov 06, 2025

A shark in a suit says trust me to a skeptical man.

Yesterday: For the Record: We Never Named Staff of the Law Firm That's Attacking Us, Except the One the Firm is Named After!

This humble post will not mention any names. It will only deal with the substance, as usual.

In 2023 my wife suffered online abuse [1, 2], which she neither deserved nor anticipated because she wasn't active in IRC or social control media. All she did was, she posted GNU/Linux news clippings and news links in her site. Why would people try to hurt her? Envy? We later hired a prominent media lawyer who told us she had been targeted in order to "get at" her husband (hi!). This wasn't unprecedented or unheard of.

Right now it is 6AM on a Thursday. At 6AM last Thursday we arrived on a coach at London's Victoria Station. Actually, we were down in London for a total of 38 hours because we left the following day at 8PM. We rushed back home to feed our pets; they're accustomed to being fed every day, several times per day.

The visit to London was OK; the person who abused my wife had been boasting to people as if there was some "slam dunk" coming, then he was trying to change the subject. It just didn't end up the way he expected. She cross-examined him and he openly apologised to her several times.

After we left London I realised he too understood he wasn't innocent. He stalked us for years, defamed me a lot, and conspired to censor and abuse us all. Nothing worked.

Eventually he left London a lot earlier than he expected. The trial should never have happened or, put another way, this petty case should have never reached this stage. It was a waste of everyone's money (probably even the court's).

He left London with nothing.

3 hours earlier:

Checking in, getting through security, and then changing your flight to a better one that doesn't involve a stop in Chicago is an astonishing way to improve mood

"...to improve mood"

Apparently 10 hours earlier:

Paralegal opening, Brett Wilson LLP

The position of the person who sent us over 10,000 pages of legal documents/letters!

And 2 hours earlier:

Senior Associate: Media and Communications Law (5+ PQE): the role of the lawyer I caught lying under oath or issuing lies in a witness statement with a statement of truth

Hours later: ("immediate start")

Solicitor: Media and Communications Law (1 - 4 PQE)

To be clear, it's not because they grow or expand; they hardly have any business this year and they already sell their furniture.

The Facebook and Twitter (X) accounts of this firm have been totally silent this month. It looks like people are leaving. Almost their entire office attended the first day of the trial; then it was a bust. They kept trying very hard (multiple times in a single day) to get me to agree on some settlement, but my wife and I both declined. We're the victims. How can we ever forgive them?

This firm really participated in the bullying and took the matter so personally, so it's impossible to ignore this behaviour. They also kept libelling me, repeatedly, calling me bad names for merely pointing out simple facts that they later confirmed to be true under oath!
