Another New Year's Resolution: Public Domain Sources, Credits
In addition to our first one
Today is a good day to make improvements; news cycles are dry/slow and it's almost a weekend already. We can do code cleanups and other cleanups.
“Ecosystems” are not all rosy. Last week we saw birds eating other birds. This week, for the second time this week, we saw a dead bird in Town. It was the second time we saw this one particular bird, so we plan to pick it up next time (we need a properly bag for this task).
Today we have a growing range and variety of birds here; some very small birds came by, not just the set of pigeons, perhaps as they lack seeds in this cold weather and generally need more energy (to cope with low temperatures). They all arrived late today, probably had a bad night's sleep due to all the fireworks.
Birds aside, we're now looking into improving tools and workflows so as to altogether avoid slop images. We don't even want to see them. They're just time-wasting garbage.
Let's hope 2026 will become a slop-free year. █
