2026 Microsoft Layoff Rumours
Posted 4 hours ago:

Yesterday I spent a long time going through over 100 new comments in Blind (Team Blind), a forum where Microsoft staff anonymously speaks about internal affairs.
Days ago someone posted about Microsoft in a Microsoft layoffs/hiring freeze thread: "Can confirm for my team. We were in the middle of hiring someone and had to quit. Sucks because they had already done some interviews."
"Rumor has it," another comment said, "with the demotion of Charlie Bell and incoming of other person, cuts are very likely. If pattern is as is, announcement might come few hours before earning call on April 29."
Could it be sooner than that? We already hear about silent layoffs and mass layoffs which impact contractors.
Clearly there is some information vacuum. Surely if we had properly-functioning media, then someone would investigate this rather than rely on official statements from Microsoft and WARN notices (warnings). █
