IN the coming days we'll be covering some more Intel exhibits, mostly those which show how Microsoft reshaped Intel to make it more Linux hostile. We shall then move on to a variety of other antitrust topics/themes.

As a little old gem or a teaser, here is an article that elucidates Microsoft's attitude towards competition.

The tension erupted on the same day that an Apple executive charged that Microsoft proposed "knifing" Apple's multimedia products in a meeting between the two companies.

Similar phrases, namely "knife/ing the baby,'" were used by Joachim Kempin (ardent anti-Linux executive), so these are common phrases that recur, very much like "tilt [product] into the death spiral." Microsoft's Paul Maritz, who was more recently installed by EMC to harm GNU/Linux via VMware, used phrases like "Cut [Netscape's] air supply." This is the sort of language they use internally and it's hard to counter that perception because it's true, and moreover it needs to be true. With the exception of people who work at Microsoft, not many people are aware of Bill Gate's extensive of the the F word for example. ⬆
