Microsoft Shutting Down GitHub and LinkedIn Offices This Year (Despite Return-to-Office Policies) and the Shutdowns Carry on This Month
THIS new report entitled "LinkedIn Dumps Portion of San Francisco Office Space As It Rolls Out Latest Round of Layoffs" (screenshot above) tells a familiar story, as it happened earlier on, e.g. this one example from June. Earlier this year we wrote about GitHub and LinkedIn premises being shut down permanently as Microsoft is generally shrinking by a lot.
The short story is, right now we see Microsoft in SF ("Bay Area") shutting down some more - a rather familiar story of office closures. It is to be expected by now. This has nothing to do with "remote work" (misnomer); it is about Microsoft losing money. █
