After Softpedia Pushed Out Its Linux News Editor - and Effectively Killed the Linux Section - it Killed the Whole News Section (Altogether)
The Linux News Editor told us this was the most popular (most traffic) part of the site.
Today this is what the "news" subdomain looks like right now:
And the front page makes no mention of news, either (anywhere):
So they've killed Linux coverage, then their whole "news" section died.
As a side note, Softpedia used to feature software I had developed (in C with OpenGL) and let people download the binaries. They were sort of leeching off projects that had been put (deposited with full code) in Sourceforge but offered them like they're (or were) proprietary.
