Their Goal is Control, Not Security (and Their Staff Advocates Fake Security or Pricey Gimmicks That Disempower the Users)
Your connection does not ask the so-called 'Linux' Foundation's LE (Pentagon) if the site is legit. Is that really security?
So lately we've written a great deal about fake security and those who promote it. Andy has a new article about it and we've just made this meme about Red Hat/IBM - a company that conflates "security" with the NSA's foremost partner (yes, Microsoft) and pushes sigStore under the guise of 'Linux' Foundation.
The "grown-ups" in the room insist on real security, not mindless gimmicks and false narratives, wherein lockdown (or lock-out, locking out users) is painted as security. Those companies just want control, or simply domination over users (and their computers), the last thing they're interested in is real autonomy and security for computer users. Heck, they even outsource their code to proprietary GitHub, where the CSO is a two-decade NSA veteran. It's time to revisit "Peak Code" by Andy. It's also time to demand real security. █
