12 Months Ago the FSF Said It Would Issue a Statement on IBM Taking RHEL Proprietary

Statement never happened though...

Several sites have been covering IBM's change to the workflow and licensing concerning RHEL and management of the relevant source code. I'll point to Jeff Geerling's blog about that since he has already adapted his own work flow accordingly

The FSF staff (which left months later) said it would issue a statement, so why didn't it? Our guess is, corporate money and corporate power got its way. The FSF loses money and needs money.

This could end differently had they not defamed the FSF's founder and kept everybody on a short financial leash.

RMS: Comply!

The FSF is still occupied somewhat, even if the underlying staff is OK.

Who's gonna guard the GPL if not the FSF, which 'only' made the GPL?

The SFC won't do this. Follow the money:
