Fifty (50) and Going
WITH more than 3 hours left in the day we've already published 50 pages today (whilst at the same time busy curating Daily Links, talking in IRC etc.) and it represents a new record for the site. Last night or this morning we published 3 decent-sized videos and tomorrow we expect more of less the same pace.
With the "Olympics"® wasting away newsrooms' capacity (already limited and constrained by notoriously low budgets) we have more time to produce original stories. This is what we always wanted to do.
Of course the ultimate goal isn't sheer quantity but quality (or a good, healthy ratio between those two things). Either way, that's what we're about those days.
Microsofters tried hard to slow us down by abusing us in IRC, harassing family members and contacting employers, set aside Microsofters' SLAPP censorship. That just doesn't scale well; it'll just "run them out of pocket". We're too busy being productive, not trying to drag people down like dumb crabs. █
