Wind
Bring me the tidings of summer's ending, of fruit bearing trees and the return of rain and cold nights. After all these hot days and the richness of nature comes now the time of farewell and decay. It is not here yet, but the winds know its coming.

good things and voyager tarot
* mornings are now cool enough to warrant socks! still some hot days coming up next week, maybe it's the last of it... or maybe it's like... an autumny 27, somehow cooler and easier than a summer 27?

misplaced lilypads, a dog of cowardice, a dog of kindness
I went to Clubhouse, and on the way I glanced to the left, while, walking up E Liberty St, expecting to see a bush/shrub of lilypads. Some usually in/around ponds, a person has them in their front yard. End of street, just before right turn.
So my mind thinks: red house > left-hand side of road > just before making right
Lilypads were not there. Odd I thought.
Then making my way further, down Maple St, I look up to see a red house I never took notice of before, just before turning onto Walt St, and out front, a shrub of lilypads.
Interesting how I never noticed what is to be noticed, until I notice it deliberately, only to have it always have been noticed.

One Page Dungeon Reviews
People are linking their One Page Dungeon Contest submissions in the Spiele Knights Discord. For the moment, if somebody does that and explicitly asks for feedback or a review, I'm happy to write a few words. I expect to be adding to this page over time.

exploration
had a chat with Pi.ai [1]. explained my situation: desire to broaden/improve my skills for work in a way that benefits my non-work life too, ideally
shared my resume, back-and-forthed in the morning, before work. after mowing. had coffee.

distraction
focused on doing work-related research today, so not much progress made on upskilling. maybe "sideskilling" would be a better word for broadening my work-relevant skills, actually.
my research efforts primarily still centered around ai inference, training, data centers, infrastructure, &c.

Life offline
I'm trying to get into the flow of writing blog posts offline, but I don't think it's working.
I think what I'd like to be doing more of (what tense does one use when you think you should be wanting to do a thing but looking back over the years it turns out you never do them): making music.
I'm but a dabbler. I try to practice the alto recorder every now and then, and I have a handful of electronic instruments that I used to make super-short jingles for my podcast. The goal was to never use a jingle twice. As you can see, the fragments got more interesting over the years, but I also stopped making new podcast episodes. Too bad!
