Chena Hot Springs Resort Photos (publ. 2024-09-10)
This last weekend (September 7-8, 2024) I was able to take my family on a trip to Chena Hot Springs Resort, which is about 50 miles east of Fairbanks. We have hardly any money for vacations, but my brother lent me his RV, and it only costs $20/night for an RV parking spot at the resort. The big expenses, actually, are the per-person cost of swimming, along with high prices for water bottles and any items you want to get from the gift shop.

in Farmington
I decided to make a smoking kit. Fall is here, and the wx for it will be back shortly. Another 80+ degree day this week, then high 70s and below from there on out. Mornings are cold here. Winter with a patio and snow and a tobacco pipe are bliss beyond words for me, so I made a tobacco pipe kit for easy access

Happiness isn't real
In the sense that it's linked with commodities
In the sense that you feel something when you get likes on your socials or matches on a dating app
In the sense, nothing makes any real sense these days
And it's been a long time that things haven't had made sense
Movies are made into games and games into movies

envy
Pitch and prone. Molds overthrown. Nothing but an empty bag. The one good bug out kit.
So many thoughts left unrealized.
Now what? Closing words?
Here are three.

Improvised Nebuliser
I've been ill recently and today a GP at my practice gave me a really good tip to create an improvised nebuliser by filling a spacer with the maximum salbutamol dose. I've only had two chances so far today to give it a go but it really does seem to maximise the effect.

The Golden Age of Palm OS: Insights from a Developer Who Witnessed It (aldweb)
On a rainy Sunday, I decided to dive into some Palm OS games I had missed back in the day. Being a fan of strategy games, I was drawn to a demo of PalmPulus. It took a bit of time to get the hang of it, but the excellent manual (remember when those were a thing?) helped me through the basics.

CLI-fu for Babylon and the Cosmwasm ecosystem
This is something from work and I got ther permission from my manager to put in on my blog. I left Nvidia a joined a new crypto start. Yeah, yeah, talk shit about crypto.. the underlying tech is still very interesting. That's why people gravitates towards i in the 1st place. My employer has been pushing to adapt some open source block explorers to help with developer onboarding.. BUT I my very honest opinion, CLI is much preferred since it's how the developers (of the blockchain iself) talk to the blockchain. And as a Linux user, I'm much efficent when using a CLI. Hence this post on how to get stuff done.

Roche Limit - Finally automated some capsule processes
I have been managing the GMI files manually via ssh for a while, and it has been inhibiting me from writing. The process just took too long and was hard from my phone. I needed automation, but I have now written a short script to generate the index.gmi from the folder of article gmi files, with a simple call to a Python script. Now I have no more excuses to leave this capsule languishing when I am busy. We'll see if this works. ;)
