In China, statCounter Seeing Windows Vista 11 as Falling 2.5% This Month Relative to Other Versions of Windows (Vista 7 Grows Its Gap Over "11")
July: Web Survey: In China, Vista 11's Adoption Has Been So Appalling That Vista 7 Users Still Exceed It
Today:
We hardly deal with statCounter anymore (or for the time being), but one tidbit that's hard to ignore is the fall of Windows in China. More people over there move to mobile and after more then 3 years 'out there' Vista 11 is only on about 1 in 6 Windows machines. Among Web clients in general (mobile included), statCounter sees Vista 11 on about 1 in 24 Web-connected machines. Think about it! Out of 100 Web connections in China only about 4 come from Vista 11 despite support for Vista 10 'ending'.
Many computer users in China are moving or have already moved to operating systems that are domestic and not recognised by - or barely known to - statCounter (its user agent scanner is outdated). █
