This is Not a Sustainable Way to Run Microsoft

Nonsense Limericks

This was 2 months before Microsoft announced over 10,000 layoffs:

Microsoft Loses Between $100-$200 On Every Xbox It Sells

Microsoft Loses Up to $200 on Every Xbox Console Sold

Debt months later:

The following section summarizes insights on Microsoft Corporation's Total Debt

Losses in "hey hi" hype and clown computing add up while Windows loses its grip on the market.

As for XBox, it was not performing and seeing the writings on the wall, Microsoft wanted to buy fake "revenue" (or debt-load another company), so it chose Activision.

Now Microsoft is laying off thousands of XBox workers and openly tells everyone that XBox sales fell 42% in one year. It's a hard thing to fake because market surveyors keep track of console sales.

XBox will die within years if not months (probably a few years).

Microsoft loses money when it sells XBox (some consoles are sold at a profit)! That's because it's not a competitive product! There is no guarantee that the software (games/subscription) side will be profitable either and as noted earlier and yesterday, there are articles like, "Is Microsoft Officially Running Out of Money? Phil Spencer’s Xbox Layoff Right after a Stupendous Game Pass Price Hike Spells Trouble" (increasing the prices can only make things worse).

So they're left with no choice but to increase prices and lay off loads of staff, even cancel games and studios. They're killing the goose.

This is a downward spiral.
