Taking Ethics Lectures From Drew

Projection tactics

On the subject of ethics in our industry

A READER has written to tell us about Richard "Stallman's anti-Semitic critics". Quoting what we wrote in November last year ("I used to think that at least some of Stallman's critics are closeted anti-Semites, but in recent years it become more apparent that even more are ableist (or both)."), the reader said: "And some are anti-semites of the not-at-all closeted variety. You remember the Vice hit piece on RMS in 2019? I was doing a web search back then and accidentally stumbled on an article on some Nazi site. Daily Stormer or Stormfront or one of those. The article was praising the "brave bi-racial woman" for taking down "Jewish computer scientist" Richard Stallman."

"And related to the infamous Stallman Report: correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't painting Jews as sexual deviants a frequently-used tool in the anti-Semitic toolbelt?"

We recently found out who the sexual deviant is.

The problem we've covered here before is that many who attack the Free software movement not only try to hijack it. They're projecting their own behaviour in their attacks.
