Microsoft in Freefall in Finland
Older: Finland (and NATO) Must Move to GNU/Linux and Dump Microsoft Even Faster
Finland is at risk. There is an aggressive neighbour that interferes with GPS signal in Baltic states and now it gets more attention because of what allegedly happened in Bulgaria. This is "hybrid" warfare (or "kinetic", another political/diplomatic NATO euphemism), which includes online propaganda (Finns are easy victims of propaganda), anchors being dropped on cables (or other essential infrastructure for energy and communication), bribed politicians, corruption (more analysis by the US; this report or article is old though) and so on.
Will Finland succeed where Ukraine failed? Can Finland eradicate Windows from all its infrastructure, including core operations that are sensitive to sabotage by cracking? One can hope. There's still time. One might mention that Linux was originally from Finland too (the kernel at least), so it makes sense for Finns to champion it. █
