European Authorities, Already Bribed and Infiltrated by Microsoft, Won't Help You Find BigBlueButton, Jami, Ring, and Jitsi
Because they're paid by Microsoft (recent example [1, 2]) and are Microsoft 'addicts' themselves
Many news sites, including some sloppy ones (with cheaply-spewed LLM slop) repeated the same song or chorus or talking point: "EU says it accepts Microsoft's commitments to address competition concerns over Teams platform" (or something to the same effect)
So Microsoft dodges any meaningful penalties once again, argues an associate, so we'd like to quote or at least paraphrase the earlier post about SIP etc, where the alternatives are promoted.
An associate says that better-informed people should see bigbluebutton, jami (and ring), mumble [1, 2], or jitsi-meet instead.
Nobody needs Microsoft Teams. Why does the media refrain from mentioning the potent alternatives? As usual, follow the money (sponsors). █
