Social Control Media, Now 'Infused' With Chatbots (Fake Activity Because Real Users or Actual Humans Leave)
Published yesterday: The Federation Has Failed, It's Not a Popularity Contest Which Exposes Oneself to Audiences
A few hours ago it was mentioned - as noted anew based on firsthand experience - how MElon's "Grok" is pushing slop into X.com in order to fake activity ("engagement") and even tricking people into "talking" with a dumb, racist-by-design chatbot. Less than an hour later we saw this report about Social Control Media and how "Users Continue Fleeing X":
"A new survey from Pew Research," it says, "finds that most adults in the US use YouTube and Facebook, while only half report using Instagram and fewer use TikTok. The social control media habits of American adults are echoing the fractured landscape of traditional news, according to data from Pew Research’s latest report."
Notice that Twitter (now "X") isn't even in the list. It's irrelevant to so many people.
Are chatbots like "Grok" going to save it? No, they can only ever piss off remaining users, who find themselves wasting time interacting with bots and non-participating losers.
The very fact that "X" (which still loses a lot of money by the way; mass layoffs didn't go far enough) resorts to pushing/foisting "Grok" on everybody may be a sign of MElon giving up and just trying to use that "site" or "platform" as "flesh fodder" by which to prop up his chatbot bubble (which also barely makes it to "top 10").
We are happy to say there will be no Slopwatch today because we simply don't see enough slop. In Google News we see none and in slopfarms that we keep an eye on it's just mindless junk. Here's Brittany Day:
Seeing many real articles about Solus, the Serial Slopper decided to fling a chatbot at it:
Adding absolutely nothing, except perhaps falsehoods. These slobs who run slopfarms deserve to be named and shamed. █
