LLM Slop Becoming Rarer
Today we've found no LLM slop in our RSS feeds regarding "Linux". We can hardly recall the last time that happened!
About 2 years ago the slop problem became more apparent and a year ago slop became abundant. Due to the hype and "FOMO" one might guess...
It seems like we've entered an era of slop "disillusion".
Over at Google News, there's only one example of slop from WebProNews:
It is just plagiarism of an article from Phoronix. More of the same.
Aside from that, Google News got conned by a triplet of slopfarms. Somehow Google cannot see what's happening here? Take a look:
The word variation is so poor because the same LLM produced all the above, conjoined with slop image generator. The same operator runs all sites and Google rewards this slop and mirroring with 3+ links.
The search giant has become an incubator of slop, not a good search option. █
