Stealth Layoffs at IBM (PIPs and Bailouts)

Not too long ago IBM 'gave the chop' to Albany. It was not reported as layoffs, in fact the sleazy management tricked the government into giving it a billion dollars from American taxpayers. That much is widely known inside IBM. Lots of scorn over this...
But what's more curious is a string of reports or unverified hearsay about many people placed on a 'super PIP' where they skip the "I" (for improvement, not IBM):
"6 weeks notice - no warning - a spineless way to fire people," someone wrote yesterday about his or her "PIP day at IBM" (sounds like a personalised RA).
On its own, this may not mean much, but check out some of the comments this has attracted (also, we did take note of many Red Hat departures that seemed mysterious, more so lately).
"IBM literally destroys lives and families." █
