We cruised past the 5000
th post yesterday without even noticing, so this is post number 5010. It's a nice milestone to cross.
In the past 3 days we've received about a quarter of a million hits per day, which is a big jump in terms of traffic.

Sometimes I wonder how a single person can produce so much output - as far as I know, you are also quite active in COLA in USENET and on Digg and other sites and also writing your PhD thesis.... while I manage to produce maybe one blogentry a week :-)
Not bad - just take care that you don't burn out yourself. Linux and FOSS, the idea behind it is worth to spend a lot of energy for, but a good "work"-life balance keeps you going on the long run (IMHO).
Another suggestion: Wouldn't it be more appropriate to rename the site? I mean Novell is sort of a trojan horse in FOSS town, but only a knight for Sauron.
Another site name would also be helpful with regard to reputation in political circles - "boycott xyz" sites are usually not considered reliable or respected sources - even if their content is very good (which is the case in most entries here, IMHO).
If "Microsoft Watch" would not be taken already, I would recommend it. Something more neutral like "The Open Source Inquirer" would also make sense, in case Sauron should ever become an Elb :-) (not soo impossible, once Ballmer is replaced).
Good luck for the next 5k articles.
