GNU/Linux Climbed 0.25% This Month (in statCounter)
TODAY is the last day of June and GNU/Linux sits at 4.02% in statCounter, i.e. 0.25% higher than in May.
These June numbers are just estimates and many caveats apply (for instance, they do not count offline or heavily firewalled/air-gapped machines, only ones that make Web requests to particular sites in their database). However, what interests us are the general trends in June. GNU/Linux is above 15% (again) in India and in Norway it looks like this:
Around midday on Tuesday we'll start seeing preliminary data for July. statCounter stopped publishing analytical blog posts about this data (some years ago it stopped writing about it, completely!), but we still can. Regarding accuracy, all the caveats still apply. █
