statCounter: The Latest Version of Windows, Vista 11, Did Not Increase Market Share This Month Compared to Last Month
Vista 11's share in 2024: (the data)
Given the fact that these measures are relative (to all Windows versions) and Windows lost a lot in share last month, it's possible that Vista 11 actually lost share and GNU/Linux gained. Or perhaps many people delete Vista 11 from their new PCs in order to install an operating system of their choice, not what OEMs are told by Microsoft to bundle (pre-load).
Microsoft must be angry, seeing how despite the mass layoffs the company lost a third of its money this past year. Windows does not bring in much money anymore. █
