Libera.Chat Has Reduced Capacity (Servers Turned Off) and Lost 1,000-2,000 Users This Past Month

18 days ago: A Total Lack of Transparency: Open and Free Technology Community (OFTC) Fails to Explain Why Over 60% of Users Are Gone (Since a Week Ago)

IRC (Internet Relay Chat) has turned 36, but something is happening other than Leenode (formerly Freenode) languishing/ebbing away while staff is gagged. The main two networks that scooped up its remaining users block Matrix (or demolish Matrix bridges). Now they lose users too.

Based on this "dumb" (no heuristics, just raw numbers) survey, the 'new Freenode' (with Code of Censorship) has begun shrinking, both in terms of the number of users online (very significant decline) and the number of servers online.

We hope IRC will grow, not be deflated.
