The World is Quitting Windows, Microsofters Try to Sabotage the Competition
THIS month's statistics (global scope, based on Web usage) from statCounter show both ChromeOS and GNU/Linux rising, of course at Windows' expense! There's even some new coverage about it, e.g. "Linux Market Share Reaches New Peak: July 2024 Report" (published earlier this week). Microsoft meanwhile sabotages dual-boot systems, perhaps seeing that more and more people quit Windows (people seem to be deleting Vista 11 in droves this summer) and I'm told Vista 11 is so bad that it does not even support PNG format - unlike operating systems from the 1990s!
This is what's happening in China this month. Aside from some noise 7 years ago, what we have here is an all-time low for Windows:
Windows is basically a burning platform, but Microsoft moles like Miguel de Icaza and 'secure' boot charlatans (yes, they're friends and corresponding) will try to sabotage GNU/Linux users' PCS and dethrone leading figures. Microsoft has long used moles like these to get the "dirty jobs" done. At the end it throws them under the bus. █
