IBM Plans for Layoffs Becoming Clearer With "Employee Reviews"

2 weeks ago: At IBM, "Employee Reviews" (or Appraisals in the UK) Are a "Trojan Horse" for RAs (Mass Layoffs), a Waste of Time

So it is finally happening and people discuss what is happening:

Employee reviews have been already approved and managers will start discussing them with their employees this week.

To be clear, there's also "forever layoffs" going on [1, 2], like this one from several hours ago:

Today marks an important milestone for me as ... was my last working day at IBM, Gurugram, bringing to a close an unforgettable journey of 1 year and 11 months at my first organization

We've meanwhile noticed these new mentions of RTO and pushing staff out:

RTO while closing and downsizing offices is by design. They want it to be inconvenient because they want you to quit. The end goal is a minimal number of employees in the US.

Of course this impacts Red Hat as well. Besides, a lot of Red Hat staff is no longer Red Hat but officially "IBM". █
