No Tolerance for Attacks on Family Members
Two years ago Richard Stallman opened up about his relationship with his mother. Days ago Dr. Stallman (RMS) turned 73; he wished he had spent more time communicating and doing a sort of reconciliation with his mother, who shared an interest in literature (with her son, "Richard").

As I made publicly known, my mother turned 70 shortly after the birthday of RMS. We spoke in length, she read my article about her birthday, and she commented on the cyber-attacks or harassment against her online.
What sort of sick creeps pick up on a journalist's mother because they dislike his opinions? Of course we reported this to the police, which took this very seriously (even more seriously than I had anticipated; they have zero tolerance towards those sorts of things).
Being a Free software activist ought not lead to "collateral damage" like attacks on family members, including doxing. But the minds of sick men know no boundaries.
In recent months I became aware that other journalists in the GNU/Linux space had been subjected to similar attacks (on family members). How do we end this? █
