Intercontinental Brigading - Part XXXV - When One Does Not Understand Security (Nor Ever Pursues Security)

From Daily Links: Ballot scanner malfunctions, flurry of federal legal actions test election officials on final day of voting
While such equipment failures and breakdowns are not uncommon and happen in a small number of precincts every election cycle, and there is no evidence of foul play, conspiracists quickly jumped on the news.

Garrett sounds a lot like a PR agent of Microsoft today. Maybe he's not even noticing this. "That's because [Garrett] is an agent of Microsoft and always has been," an associate notes.
A pattern is beginning to emerge in the fridge/freezer incidents.
"It does not matter if or if not the bottom layer is Linux or even BSD," the associate says, "when the layer above it is Windows and exposed to the 'net."
Many supermarkets have Web- or Net-facing Windows PCs. Those PCs can control any or all the fridges. Therein lies the problem and it's also connected to Microsoft via Azure.
For some background see:
"As someone who has worked in industrial controls engineering and hands-on," one SN user notes, "I can tell you that many of the HMI (Human-Machine Interface) touchscreens run one of the Windows CE / "embedded" variants. The HMI is the user control panel for the machine. It's the thing that would be connected to a network / Internet."

Voting machines are the same. And there are actively-exploited holes in them. That includes UEFI ones (days ago). More importantly, Windows has back doors by design/intention. Those also exist in BitLocker, yet Garrett keeps promoting BitLocker [1, 2] (despite being reminded by us of these back doors for over a decade already).
One might therefore conclude that Garrett is a proponent of American back doors. He gets paid in America, where he collaborates with Balabhadra (Alex) Graveley in lawfare overseas (across the ocean, by proxy). The lawfare began 6 days before Graveley, a Microsoft employee, was arrested. █
