'GatoKeeper'/IP Kat (AstraZeneca) Still Suppressing and Censoring the Public Views or Internal EPO Talks About EPO Corruption

Gato means cat, not gate

Summary: The suppression of comments critical of the EPO's administration (especially corruption scandals surrounding António Campinos and Benoît Battistelli) is a real problem; those ought not be a taboo subject in comments (where bloggers used to speak about those issues openly and regularly)

THE blog IP Kat was banned by the EPO about 5 years ago. Nothing has been the same since then. Key people vanished. "Merpel" became a forgotten pen name. Based on our understanding (private conversations), the original author and founder left, then some key people followed (they saw no reason to carry on once he left and even felt concerned that the site had fallen into the wrong hands). Who was left in charge? They left Mr. CIPA in charge and Bristows (Team UPC) "bloggers" carried on lying to readers about the UPC. Here we are in 2021 and UPC is nowhere in sight. So who was right and who was wrong?

"The corporate media makes many of the same mistakes, wrongly assuming that penning corporate puff pieces won't alienate loyal readers."Anyway, now it's safe to say that all EPO articles in the blog are composed by an AstraZeneca employee (not scholar; many of them gradually left) and the latest comments make it perfectly clear that they've once again blocked my comment, which was on topic and highlighted a real EQE scandal.

In the video above I explain that what we nowadays see in IP Kat reminds me a great deal of a PR technique associated with deflection. They talk about technical issues, but never about legal issues (the EPO doing illegal things). Of course they never mentioned the EPO strike (December 15th) or anything to do with SUEPO. When did they last even mention SUEPO? Two years ago? The author says that the "EPO is instead using the WISEflow system in combination with the "LockDown browser"."

For those who don't know, to call this 'browser' controversial would be an understatement. It's likely illegal. Look up online all the criticisms of it.

"Let's hope the EPO are able to sort out some of these teething problems by tomorrow's exam," it says. As if the EQE problems boil down to some technical and unintended glitches. And later they wonder why so many writers left and the blog is barely active anymore...

When you're reposting self-serving and face-saving spin for CIPA (regarding PEB), the only sort of interaction to be expected in the comments is rebuttal (to falsehoods). The readers deserve better than this. Otherwise, they'll drift away and go elsewhere. The corporate media makes many of the same mistakes, wrongly assuming that penning corporate puff pieces won't alienate loyal readers. Once they lose their credibility they lose readership and then their potential to influence the world is diminished. They cease to operate.
