Summary: An update on the company that Microsoft abducted and the impact of the troll-feeding frenzy
The exodus at Nokia continues after it fed patent trolls (e.g. MOSAID) and even the board is emptying up at times when patent litigation over phones backfires anyway. Here is the latest Nokia departure that is expected. Even if Nokia turns to Android, it will be too late to stop the trolls it fed along with Microsoft.
Speaking of trolls,
Twitter calls for action against them: "Twitter is an engineering company, and engineers like to innovate. Twitter is also well known, and, as a result, we receive patent threats and lawsuits from time to time. Many of these are baseless, and our policy is to fight them with all our might. In fact, we have never agreed to pay to settle a patent suit."
This is why feeding trolls is often better a strategy for Microsoft than to attack directly.
