Open Source Initiative (OSI) is Microsoft, It Presents Microsoft-Controlled Projects Like They're Everything That Exists in the World

posted by Roy Schestowitz on Dec 08, 2023

The voice of Microsoft, not of Open Source, and GitHub is proprietary - i.e. an attack on Open Source or a prison in which to manipulate the competition

On Microsoft's payroll, not disclosing this: The most popular licenses for each language in 2023 (Microsoft Data)

THE people who were supposed to be protectors of Open Source keep lying to us. Check who pays them to lie. The OSI has been an incubator of Microsoft lies for years and everyone needs to shout this from rooftops.

See the latest example above. They're not assessing the real data, they keep track only of projects foolish enough to choose slavery under Microsoft. Microsoft-funded "analysts" have long done the same thing in order to sell the false picture of GPL (copyright) demise or irrelevance.

Self-fulfilling prophecies? The FSF has long complained about those lies (typically spread by another Microsoft proxy).

Now? The FSF is too shy to even issue a press release about the EU’s Cyber Resilience Act, unlike the FSF-EEE (that too only months ago). The same was true when IBM 'bypassed' the GPL this past summer. The FSF said it would issue a statement... but never did at the end.

Fear paralyses. But we need more voices and organisations out there to debunk lies and speak out against such attacks.

The OSI is under attack to the point where it's already perpetually attacking, gaslighting, and lying to the community. It's a lost cause already.

Today's OSI is deeply corrupt. The above author is literally funded by Microsoft and cites a colleague, another Microsofter.

How did OSI turn from proponent of Open Source into a Microsoft mouthpiece that actively helps Microsoft violate the GPL by disguising plagiarism as "artificial intelligence"?
