Microsoft Closures, IBM Layoffs

THE past few hours IBM spent a great deal of effort shifting attention to HashiCorp (IBM to acquire HashiCorp in $6.4 billion deal), but its results were awful and the gossip is highly critical of the company's leadership.
In light of the company's performance and recent report (as mentioned in the video) it seems likely Red Hat layoffs are in the making. HashiCorp is just some Microsoft proxy of sorts, so it isn't clear what IBM is thinking here...
Meanwhile Microsoft has not only more layoffs but also office closures and studio closures. All this "AI" nonsense is going nowhere; as one person put it a couple of hours ago, "I bet IBM is already looking for the next buzzword/hype... AI has already passed." █
