A Recognition for Hard Work
THIS week we're publishing close to 150 new pages and videos. There's a lot more coming.
Running this site is a lot of work. Researching topics is an endless task and articulating issues isn't the same as just typing away aimlessly. Words are cheap. Some idiots just prompt some computer algorithms to spew out sentences [1, 2, 3].
This weekend or next week we'll start a series about the Free Software Foundation (FSF), Dr. Stallman (its founder), and cancel culture online. This "cancerous" culture online, which targeted Dr. Stallman for many years, is targeting us too. But that won't succeed. It only energises us and brews up a "Streisand Effect" - that's all it can do.
About 2 weeks from now our sister site turns 20 (we've made most of the party preparations; it'll be awesome and across the road from the Manchester City/Etihad Stadium). We have a lot to celebrate, maybe even a "double" for Manchester City (the FA Cup final will be over in less than 24 hours). I don't think I've ever mentioned it in this site, but I've been a goalkeeper since early childhood (I can play defender too; I'm good enough with the legs) and I was the goalkeeper for Computer Science at Manchester University. I'm a fighter by nature and I'll carry on freedom fighting for as long as I live. Manchester City has two goalkeepers who are good with the legs (including Ortega Moreno above). Come on, City! █
