Terms of Service (TOS) Under Scrutiny - Part I - an Overview
THE Web has sadly succumbed to JavaScript or "webapps". This means more people have no control whatsoever over the software they run and over the computer/s this software runs on.
"Additionally," as one contributor put it, "as far as the terms of service are concerned, what I came to realize was all the stuff about how bad security and breaches have been and have some Information about the smart TVs and how horrible pharmacies have been in sharing info without warrants so if you need me to Send you that information, I most definitely can."
We have capacity to cover this in August. The only question is how to best organise the information and the more sensible way is, we'll deal with one example of use cases or one "product" at a time.
As the contributor put it: "After deciding to evaluate and analyze terms of service, I discovered not only the information I was searching for about data collection, data selling and sharing but also information about spying on customers, breaches and sharing information without subpoena or warrant with law enforcement."
In the second part we'll start looking at some examples. This series will last several weeks if not over a month. █
