The Creator of GNU/Linux is in His 70s and His Manifesto Turns 40 in Half a Year
As noted this morning in the sister site, the "GNU Manifesto and the FSF turn 40..." (soon)
The Linux Foundation has long fostered the illusion (revisionism) that everything started in 1991, i.e. 33 years ago. Even earlier this month they put Torvalds in front of this text:
Later people lined up in a Mecca-like ritual for the "father of Linux" (well, the kernel, yes, but only the kernel):
But if we care about science, history, truth, honesty etc. we must go back to GNU, GPL, GCC etc.
That's something which started when Torvalds was a young kid and hadn't even programmed yet. █
