Pay Careful Attention to How Canonical is Promoting Ubuntu
A few years ago we showed that the Ubuntu installer was shilling Microsoft and even advertising proprietary spyware of Microsoft. It actively promoted these.
Some days ago a new build of Ubuntu had been worked on (built with enhancements) and then promoted (in the official site and some shallow news sites). One said it's "easier to join Ubuntu machines into Windows estates with Active Directory integration".
This is what the official Ubuntu site said:
In a lot of ways Canonical is the product of slave labour (works to death for no salary) with Microsoft "sweeteners" on top:
That's not to say IBM does much better. We just need to recognise the exploitation and opportunism. Many people work for altruistic purposes to get rid of Microsoft, then come the business people liaising with Microsoft and taking advantage of the free work while selling us .NET. Novell did that two decades ago. Canonical does this today. █
