Sirius Open Source in Court
The company Sirius Open Source had a habit of stealing money, not only from associates but also full-time staff (I spoke to several former colleagues impacted by the pension theft; it was embezzled). 3 years ago I wrote several articles and made a video explaining the likely illegal contact signing (trying to dodge accountability for what they did by creating another shell company and escaping to another continent). I even showed the original correspondence from the management; some of these people can still be held accountable, but lawsuits aren't cheap (I should know, we filed some last year [1, 2]).
The good news is that a former colleague, whom we like, decided to take matters to a court. The Tribunal will decide. We'll will mention the outcome when a verdict comes out.
I personally was a witness and an alibi of sorts; the company severely ruined his health, lied a lot to him, forced him to lie to clients etc. Even if the company cannot shell out money when the court orders it to (the Tribunal has limited reach when the CEO hides in the US; he moved there after he had received money from Bill Gates under NDA), it can set the record straight, and not for the first time [1, 2]. I still remember the 2023 SLAPPs.
Relationships with companies can turn sour and abusive. Don't carry on. Quit on a high note. Talk about what happened because "whistleblowers are incredibly important to the system" as this new article/person said. █
