Microsoft's Windows is a Niche Operating System in Africa
%4.8 in Mauritania, 5.54% in Egypt, 5.88% in Mali, 6.6% in Equatorial Guinea, 7.09% in Chad, 7.66% in Nigeria, 7.66% in Zambia, 8.52% in Gabon, 8.94% in Central African Republic, 9.09% in Togo, and 9.27% in Niger.
Despite this being mentioned before and in spite of it being "obvious" (not to everybody) that Android is now the dominant operating system, it's worth stating again that Africa is almost 80% Android. Mobile devices are used a lot more than a 1990s-type computer and many people use "apps", not "Microsoft Office".
African nations aren't a large contributor to Microsoft's income, but if many African nations move away from Windows, then the monopoly is at risk. █
