IBM Red Hat and 'Embedded' Microsoft Salespeople
Less than an hour ago:
Selling people to Microsoft:
Red Hat's relationship with Microsoft has long been troubling, not just near the Microsoft/Novell deal (2006). Around 2009 they began cooperating on virtualisation and then we witnessed an influx of Microsoft workers - especially high-level staff - into Red Hat, more and more over time.
Today, under IBM, we can expect Red Hat to habitually sell Microsoft, Microsoft's proprietary software, and Microsoft-led back doors (examples from days ago). That includes UEFI 'restricted boot', which can also act as a kill switch.
This isn't the Red Hat of the 1990s. Under IBM, Red Hat doesn't like freedom; it's just chasing money - to the point of turning Free software into secret code. █
