Assessing the Upcoming (July) Proprietary/GAFAM Cuts
Proprietary giants are not growing, their combined debt is fast growing though. For GAFAM+Oracle alone we're looking at about 150 billion dollars borrowed in just one year! Before the weekend we took note of reports about layoffs at Microsoft's PR department. Those did not say how many people were impacted and discussions about it [1] only allude to figures from last year, not this year [2] (paywall).
The total (or %) matters to us because it can help shed light on what scale of layoffs to expect next week. █
