    I think I finished rewriting Oddμ. Just in time! 😅 This is the software that I use for a bunch of sites including this one. It now uses a SQLite database for a lot of stuff. Most importantly, it uses the full-text search that SQLite offers instead of grepping through the Markdown files. There's now a branch that passes the tests, at least. 😂 But it's a start!

    To those who don't know, I have done a lot of work with OCR and converting physical books to ebooks. It was (and still is) quite a tedious process, although OCR has gotten considerably better in the consumer space.

    That being said, I generally hate when writing programs combine two letters into ligatures. A ligature, at least in typing/writing, is combining letters into a single character. And these things are exceedingly annoying to me. Combinations of letters like fl, fi, ffi become smushed into one character in many "normal" writing programs. And it drives me crazy. They are two letters. I don't give a damn about how they used to cause issues when writing on actual stone: f, l, and i are separate letters and should remain separate. It's just confusing and annoying for spellcheck and editing when these stupid ligatures are automatically made.
