Another one of them stories...

Yast, the crappy package manager for openSUSE, had some squabble about dependencies, and apparently it decided to uninstall yast to resolve them. Hmmm, now I can not install anything without wading through dependency hell with rpm.

Goodbye, openSUSE.

This isn't an isolated observation or story, but hopefully this quick post won't bore you, the reader. ⬆

Yea, I just reinstalled OPENsuse in Vmware again last week, after having it off for months. I failed to remember why I removed it to begin with. Five minutes into the install I remembered why. The installer asks way to many questions and seems to take 50% longer then any Ubuntu install I have done in the past.

I'm sorry for your waste of time, my friend but don't dispair, you have Ubuntu or Fedora 9 to choose. My daughters love them both, there's NOTHING more friendly. Even grandmma asked me to migrate her from CentOS to FC9 because of it's friendliness, and I'm happy I don't even need to create my own packages. Everything is out there! C'mon! no regrets for one of the best decisions you've ever made! Thanks for everyone who gives his/her time to this & specially Shane & Roy. You guys rock!
